This website is dedicated to preserving memories about the organization Mission Rebels in Action (a.k.a. The Mission Rebels), which was founded in 1965 by Rev. Jesse James and a handful of youth. The Mission Rebels eventually served hundreds of youth in San Francisco’s Mission District, and inspired the creation of other community-led organizations.
